Cava, designed by LucidiPevere, combines multiple formats, engraved patterns and a refined colour palette to create a versatile cement‑look surface.
The designers start from a pure, slightly irregular concrete base and refine its porosity to ensure easy cleaning. They use water‑jet technology to engrave graphic motifs directly into the tile, shifting the focus from printed decoration to incised geometry.
By mixing engraved and flat pieces, Cava generates endless compositions. The design reaches its full expression once the grout is applied, blending real joints with engraved lines to form the final graphic pattern.
